Allen Haroutonian
Since 2016, Allen has worked across various organisations and projects, including a lead role in a tuna sidestream valorisation initiative with the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency and design of a decarbonisation roadmap for the Australian fishing fleet.With deep experience in commercialisation with Federal Government’s Accelerating Commercialisation program, Allen has also served as an advisor to the Fisheries Research & Development Corporation’s $200 million R&D Investment Strategy.His career spans roles in electronics assembly, business development at startups, driving the transition of an Australian Startup-to-Scaleup via North American expansion, and business development in Australia for prominent companies like IBM, Apple, and Dell.

The Pacific Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA) has engaged Blue-X to support pacific businesses by building ventures, connecting processors with technology, innovation, research and implementation partners to develop new tuna-based products from processing sidestreams (never waste).
PITVP's 100% Fish innovation network positions the Pacific region at the forefront of the global marine circular economy revolution, leveraging the lessons from the Iceland Ocean Cluster to transform what was once considered waste into the foundation for sustainable economic prosperity.
